Improve Retail - Services
Improve Retail Business Consulting offers a range of services, from single visit visual overviews of your retail store to in depth assessments of layout, merchandising, product range, product flow, operations and customer experience.

Because every retail store and every retail business is different, pricing will vary according to what is required, with a basic, bullet point store assessment starting from as little as £50.

We also offer coaching, mentoring and succession planning support for existing and aspiring junior managers, and practical in-store support for your merchandising, refits and new store operations.

If the specific service you require isn't listed, why not get in touch anyway - we may be able to help.
1
Basic store visual assessment.
A basic visual assessment of the customer facing areas of your store, highlighting areas for improvement in a simple, easy to follow list of bullet points.
This is like a second, fresh pair of eyes, looking at your store from an unbiased perspective just as your customers would see it.

Prices start from just £50 depending on the size and type of store.
2
Detailed store visual assessment
Similar to the basic store visual assessment, but in more detail.

This gives you a full report of the customer facing areas of your store, highlighting in detail the areas for improvement, focusing on merchandising and display standards, housekeeping and maintenance, accessibility and product mix/flow.
3
Full store visual and operational assessment
Similar to the detailed store visual assessment, this also includes an assessment of non-customer facing areas and operations, such as delivery goods in/out and stock room/storage areas.
It can also include a review of operational procedures and processes, which may highlight where these can be streamlined for improved efficiency.

Whilst store visual assessments usually require 1-2 days on site, operational assessments usually require more time in order to see how existing operational procedures work in practice.
4
Customer experience review
A review of the whole customer experience.

Customer experience encompasses every interaction a customer has with your brand, often starting well before they set foot in your store. A customer experience review looks at how customers interact with your website, physical and social media marketing, phone and email interactions, personal interactions with your in-store teams and the store environment itself.

Whatever your product or service, customer experience is the most important factor in determining the success or otherwise of your business.
5
Coaching and Mentoring
Support for junior and middle management, giving them the skills to become better managers and better leaders. Coaching the 'soft skills' required for effective team leadership and providing 1 to 1 support for managers in person and remotely via Teams, Zoom and Whatsapp.
Can also include succession planning for store teams, with detailed succession plans for individuals whether existing members of management or those with the potential to progress into management.
Coaching and mentoring services are available to both businesses and individuals and are tailored to specific requirements of the organisation or individual.
6
Merchandising and Store Layout
Specific support with the planning and implementation of store layouts and product merchandising.
Suitable for new stores, refits, merchandising changes, seasonal changes and more. Practical on site support to get the job done with minimum disruption to normal operational procedures.
7
Implementation support.
Getting advice is one thing. Putting that advice into action is something else.
That's why we offer implementation support - to help you put recommendations into action. We will work alongside you and your team to help implement any recommendations we make, or even to help implement your own ideas - short term support to get the job done without having to make long term investments in extra resources.
